Elijah

Elijah was confiscated by the Israeli army after he was being beaten by children. He had three nasty holes at the side of his face, probably from an untreated abscess. He is responding very well to treatment

Raphael

Found with Michael, Raphael had a rotting foot that has left him with a 'stump'. Regular bandage changes and antibiotics are helping the hoof to heal although he is having difficulty putting any weight on it but this is gradually improving. He is an adorable gentle giant.

Michael

Michael and Raphael were both found close to the Palestinian border. After the Israeli army became involved, they arrived at the sanctuary on December 22nd. Michael had a severe wound on his back, probably due to a poorly fitting harness. The large wound had maggots and was infected. As the photos show, after intensive treatment he is improving.
