URGENT: Looking for new trustees!

Are you passionate about donkeys? Do you have a heart for the plight of abused donkeys in the Holy Land? Would you like to get involved in running the charity so that Lucy can continue to rescue and care for donkeys in the Holy Land? Lucy's UK Donkey Foundation is in urgent need of at least one, ideally two new trustees to join the existing Board of Trustees. Update on Alan

Sweet little Alan, the car accident survivor donkey, has just had a growth removed from the upper, back of left leg area, which the vet says shows all the signs of being cancerous. He said it is also growing internally but he did not want to dig too deep, so he has removed what he could and is keeping a close eye on him. Dear Alan was a very good boy standing quietly and patiently while it was done, although he was very mildly sedated. As you probably know, everybody at the sanctuary (apart from one ad-hoc helper) and at Lucy's UK Donkey Foundation works entirely voluntarily. Latest news from the sanctuary

Apologies for the radio silence, but the last few weeks have been very busy for Lucy who, in the midst of so much else, had to move house with her family - two and four-legged. Very sadly, their new landlord would not allow their rescued cats and dog to be at the new home, so Lucy and her family had no other choice but to settle them in at the sanctuary with the donkeys. Donkeys and cats definitely seem to have a very special bond, so at least that’s positive.
